Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Donuts
It absolutely comes down to better nutrition habits. Someone once told me, you can’t get results if you eat donuts. Well, that’s a lie! You can absolutely have your cake and eat it too. Or in this case- chocolate peanut butter protein donuts! After bringing home donuts for the kids on Saturday I’ve been craving donuts. And where I’m all for balance and eating the donut or tacos or pizza or whatever, I’m also all for making healthier swaps too! I spent a little time in the kitchen this week working on an easy, delicious breakfast for me and Luke for the next few days. These yummy chocolate peanut butter…

Mushrooms… yay? Or nay? I’m a total yay. In my eggs, soup, on my pizza. In tacos- y’all Mission Taco Joint has THE BEST portobello mushroom tacos! I’m a sucker for all things mushrooms. And a treat for your savory taste buds! Recipe below! Healthier Air Fryer Donuts
You had me at “10 Minute Breakfast”! My kiddos will sleep in, lounge on the couch for an hour, and then IMMEDIATELY decide they are STARVING and need to eat RIGHT NOW!!! Quick, healthy breakfasts are totally our jam. However, they default to toaster waffles and would prefer pop-tarts or donuts where I’m more of a “made from scratch” sort of mom. Don’t get me wrong, we indulge every now and then, but if I can whip up a “healthier” version of a lot of things, I will. Donuts are one of our favs in this house too. The greasy, gooey, chocolatey smothered, deep-fried, treats don’t last too long here.…

The BEST Banana Bread Recipe
I vowed to use this time at home to bake more with the girls. Their most recent request was for a super gooey, chocolate chip filled banana bread. And where I’ve made good banana breads in the past I was determined to make THE recipe that would wow them and assure that not one crumb would go to waste. This. Is. It. Gooey. Buttery. Full of flavor. And better than any I’ve made before. We hope you enjoy this as much as we have! Let me know what you think! Ingredients: 3 mashed, ripe bananas 1/4 c wildflower honey3 eggs1 cup old fashioned oats4 tbsp butter, softened2 tbsp organic cane…

My 21 Day Detox Results Are In!!!
🌿🌱 21 DAY DETOX RESULTS ARE IN!!!! 🌱🌿 Oh my gosh I. Feel. Amazing!!!!!!! In the last three weeks I am dow 8.6 pounds. I have lost a total of 3 inches around my waist/midsection. The amount of bloat that I’ve shed is unreal. And I’ve either decreased or eliminated my mindless snacking, sugar cravings, dependency on that nightly handful of chocolate chips or a need for a glass of wine several nights/wk. And I gained sooooo much knowledge about my own nutrition habits and how my body responds to food. For the past 3 weeks I followed a food-focused nutrition and gut detox plan. I’ve eliminated sugar. Caffeine was removed. I haven’t…

Nutrition Simplified- Achieving Balance and Sustainability
Nutrition is my jam. Now, anyway. It wasn’t always. Yeah, I ate “healthy”. Lean Cuisines and Diet Coke used to be my jam. I paid zero attention to what I was putting in my body, but fully believed that a 1500 calorie salad was a good lunch choice and could nearly eat my weight in steak, baked potato, and buttery green beans at dinner… protein, carb, veggie, right? About 5 years ago I committed to and dove into a fitness and nutrition program that would forever change the landscape of how I approached my nutrition. One that allowed for balance. See, I was always under the impression you could have…

Carrot Cake Protein Muffins
When breakfast tastes like dessert… I call that a win. These are quite possibly my favorite grab-and-go muffins that taste heavenly, require a minimum of ingredients, and give you a filling serving of protein, veggies, carbs, and an optional add in of healthy fats too. I am a sucker for carrot cake. When carrot cake is healthier? Even better. When I can have carrot cake for breakfast? I’m in love. As a mother, muffins that pack a protein punch with the addition of my favorite- Vegan Vanilla Shakeology (a powerhouse plant based superfood shake mix that we use as a go-to for baking and to blend into daily milkshakes) mean…

Pumpkin Zucchini Power Muffins
“Eat more veggies”, they say. “Try to get more veggies in at breakfast,” they say. Let’s be honest, we don’t always run for the veggies at breakfast. My kids included. But when I can sneak them into muffins, it makes this momma’s job easier. These muffins are a favorite of mine. Not only is each serving size THREE muffins (seriously, I can barely eat two) but each serving size has a whole serving of veggies, protein, and carbs. An ideal combination for starting the day off healthy and with some energy. My kids love these too- easy to grab one and run out the door, or we save them…
