Healthier Air Fryer Donuts
You had me at “10 Minute Breakfast”! My kiddos will sleep in, lounge on the couch for an hour, and then IMMEDIATELY decide they are STARVING and need to eat RIGHT NOW!!! Quick, healthy breakfasts are totally our jam. However, they default to toaster waffles and would prefer pop-tarts or donuts where I’m more of a “made from scratch” sort of mom. Don’t get me wrong, we indulge every now and then, but if I can whip up a “healthier” version of a lot of things, I will. Donuts are one of our favs in this house too. The greasy, gooey, chocolatey smothered, deep-fried, treats don’t last too long here.…

Hidden Veggie- No Boil Lasagna
That signature recipe. My mom always told me, “You need to have that one recipe. The one that you can serve for anyone, anytime, and it’s always a hit. Whether your priest is coming over for dinner, you’re taking a meal to a new mom friend, and you want to pass down to your kiddos and grand-kiddos.” I’m pretty sure this might be it. It’s only taken me years to “perfect” it, but after tonight’s dinner, I think it’s safe to say that it’s blog-worthy and something I should share with the world. What made my night tonight is that not only did my husband have seconds, but my children…

The BEST Banana Bread Recipe
I vowed to use this time at home to bake more with the girls. Their most recent request was for a super gooey, chocolate chip filled banana bread. And where Iâve made good banana breads in the past I was determined to make THE recipe that would wow them and assure that not one crumb would go to waste. This. Is. It. Gooey. Buttery. Full of flavor. And better than any Iâve made before. We hope you enjoy this as much as we have! Let me know what you think! Ingredients: 3 mashed, ripe bananas 1/4 c wildflower honey3 eggs1 cup old fashioned oats4 tbsp butter, softened2 tbsp organic cane…

When you bet on yourself, it’s hard to lose. It’s that time of year again! One of my most favorite, friendly competition, go all-in, and create, build, and achieve that momentum kind of groups is about to kick off! It’s time for our 2020 March Health Bet. We will officially be kicking off our annual Health Bet group on March 1st. This group will run through the whole month of March! Pesto Shrimp Zoodle Bowl
What’s my favorite kind of lunch? One that takes less than 10 minutes, is packed with flavor, and aligns with my fitness and nutrition goals too. This is one of my favorites. Quick. Healthy. Delicious. And minimal ingredients. The added bonus is that at least one of my kids will eat it too! Today’s lunch (and I made a double batch so tomorrow’s meal too) is one of my favorites for a combination of yummy flavors, is a great addition to any weekly meal prep, or can be a simple dinner for two as well. Zoodles make for a delicious alternative to a heavy carbohydrate pasta. Now, don’t get me…

And I gained sooooo much knowledge about my own nutrition habits and how my body responds to food. For the past 3 weeks I followed a food-focused nutrition and gut detox plan. Iâve eliminated sugar. Caffeine was removed. I havenât…

Empowering or Not, J. Lo & Shakira Brought the HEAT to Super Bowl LIV!
Ladies, come on now, we can do better. I missed the Super Bowl and halftime show last night with us traveling but hereâs what I learned from my news feed⊠J.Lo wasnât wearing enough clothes. They both looked âlike strippersâ.It was âhorribleâ.The whole performance was âdegrading to womenâ.The singing âwasnât that greatâ.It was too âover the topâ.âI turned it off. Ridiculous.”I even read words like âtrashyâ and âgrossâ⊠ARE. YOU. FREAKING. KIDDING. ME????? Look at us, ladies. Here we are⊠with things like âlift each other upâ. âFix each others crownsâ. âEmpower one anotherâ. âBuild each other up not tear each other down.â But when a pair of women, who are…

February Love Your Body Wellness Challenge
If I asked you to name 50 things you love… how long would it take for you to say “myself”? One of my favorite challenges I run annually is our February Love Your Body, Love Yourself, Self-Love challenge. A 4 week immersion into self-love, daily affirmations and journaling, a book club, and a month long focus on making ourselves a priority. I’m not going to sugar coat it… this time of year is challenging. We set goals, we struggle. We’re feeling crappy because the weather sucks. It’s too cold. We may carry a little regret from spending too much or indulging too much over the holidays, and our need to prioritize…

Easy Loaded Potato Veggie Soup (Kid Approved)
One of the best compliments I think Iâve ever received came from my ten year old after she took a bite… âMom! This is delicious! You should open a restaurant and call it âMommyâs Soup Kitchenâ and serve soups just like this!â She doesnât know I secretly would love to open a little cafe with hearty and healthy soups, gourmet sandwiches, and all kinds of coffee and desserts. But that dream exhausts me to the core thinking about it. And Iâm much more content whipping up delicious little family friendly recipes with a healthy twist in the comfort of my own kitchen, and sharing them with friends on my blog.…

Thai Peanut Zoodle Bowl
Iâve been on a cooking kick lately. Not just the same old staples. But adding in a lot of variety and yummy, exotic flavors too. And all in less than 30 min. Ainât nobody got time for being in the kitchen all day. Last week I was craving curry. So I made a yummy chicken curry chickpea cauliflower stew. It was heavenly and Anniston, my 5 year old, loved it too. Yesterday I meal prepped zucchini, toasted quinoa, and tomato egg muffins for breakfasts for the week. They have not disappointed. Today spicy Thai peanut noodle bowl. Only I didnât have noodles. But I did have zucchini. Todayâs zoodle bowl…
