Hammer and Chisel: 60 Day Results
Results are in, y’all! And I am super proud! If you haven’t been following my journey, you may not know that I started Hammer & Chisel around Christmas time. It’s an 8 week program and focuses a lot on strength, muscle building and shaping, and leaning out with some high intensity workouts. Roasted Balsamic Veggies
Balsamic vinegar is my jam. I eat it on a lot of things. I’m weird like that. Salad. Chicken. Rice. Quinoa. Steak. Tilapia (see, weird). So I had to do it on veggies. Ok. One word. Delish. These turned out great and made a perfect side for tonight’s roasted turkey breast. Ingredients: 2 large zucchini, quartered 2 sweet potatoes, peeled & diced 2 carrots, peeled & diced 2 green peppers, chopped 1 onion, roughly chopped 1/4 c balsamic vinegar 2 tbsp EVOO 1 tbsp chopped rosemary Sea salt & black pepper Directions: Chop all veggies. Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer (clean)
Because once September hits, the pumpkin spice is flowing like the Budweiser beers during Cardinals playoffs (another reason why I love this time of year!). So contrary to my husband who wanted to stick to the artificial stuff, I wanted to recreate that PSL flavor without the added sugar, artificial flavors, or food dyes. Ingredients: 1 c vanilla unsweetened almond milk 1 tbsp pumpkin purée 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1 tbsp pure maple syrup Directions Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over low-medium heat whisking lightly until purée has dissolved and milk begins to steam. Coach Summit 2015- Nashville
It’s been a few weeks but my first experience at Coach Summit happened over the weekend of July 16th and I’m still on a Summit “high”! If you’re not familiar with what Summit is, it’s the annual training trip from Beachbody where this year 25,000 coaches out of 330,000 came together. There is recognition, celebration, training, and workouts with celebrity trainers. I got to fist bump Sagi (the Body Beast guy) after my workout. I kind of felt like a big deal. 21 Day Fix Extreme Results!!!
I just wrapped my second ever round of 21 Day Fix Extreme on Monday and wow! I loved this program when I used it for competition prep back in February because it gave me shredded results and I loved it again now for that very same reason. The pic on the left is 8 days after my last competition. That’s right. Mommy Guilt
Mommy Guilt. We all have it… It starts when they’re teeny tiny, that first week old and thinking “Man, I just want to take a shower without this tiny earthling attached to me around the clock!” And as soon as I jump in the shower it never fails, the baby cries and the guilt sets in! In my house, we love peanut butter. Every week, on the grocery list. Peanut Butter. Spoonfuls on spoonfuls, PBJ’s, protein bites, treats, snacks, ants on a log, etc. You know it.
