What Can You Do in 30 Days…

As a fitness and nutrition coach, especially this time of year, I’m often asked, “How can I get it together in time for summer?” I have two answers.

  1. First, release yourself of the stress of “getting it together” in time for summer. There’s no rule that says we have to get it together. Society puts too much pressure on having a “bikini body” for summer. Want a bikini body for summer? Put a bikini on your body. Enjoy your summer. Goal achieved.
  2. Second, focus on daily habits that create an achievable lifestyle and help you to achieve both short and long term results that make you FEEL good. That improve your health and quality of life. Both physically and mentally.

As your coach and mentor, I help you create habits that stick. I help you make a healthier lifestyle achievable. I help you build positivity around your mindset and remove the “diet” mindset and focus And I give you the tools, resources, and guidance to do so. For these next 30 days, and beyond. I sound like Buzz Lightyear…

This 30 Day Shift isn’t designed to get you “bikini ready” for summer. This 30 Day Shift is designed to help you incorporate actions into your day which create habits that become stick-with-able. To create simple disciplines daily that make our lives better as a whole.

So what does it entail?

We know that daily movement is key. Not just for fat loss and muscle gain, but for cardiovascular health. Increasing our daily activity through workouts provided, daily exercise, a walk/jog/run, upping our steps, we can increase our body’s caloric burn and ability to burn body fat too. We’ll focus on adding in 30 minutes of movement everyday.

You can’t live a positive life with a negative mind. One of the biggest additions into my routine that has helped immensely on my own personal health and fitness journey is incorporating daily personal development. A book, a podcast, an audiobook playing in my ears or in my car- something pumping into our minds that positivity, discipline, encouragement, and inspiration that keeps us going even on days we don’t want to. You’ll be given a list of books and a podcast calendar for guidance too.

We’ll also be adding in a declutter, donate, or clean something challenge daily. This helps so much mentally when we organize, declutter our space, and feel much lighter and cleaner. Thing of this as an additional spring cleaning challenge- guidance will be provided here too!

Is the no booze necessary? And what’s “GOOD” nutrition?

That’s a personal question only you can answer. I know that when I cut out the excess- things like booze, sugar, processed foods- it helps my body to feel like it’s in it’s optimal state. We wouldn’t put crap gasoline in a Ferrari and expect it to run in impeccable condition, why would we expect our bodies to function as such when filling them with things that don’t allow us to perform at our best selves. Personally, I see my clients achieve optimal results when eliminating things like booze and excess sugar and taking a much cleaner approach (natural foods, nothing artificial or processed) with nutrition. These 30 days, I encourage you to do the same. Or at least be much more mindful of it.

And nutrition? We know that eating healthier gives us more energy. So we’ll focus on better nutrition. I’ll provide you with sample menus, nutrition tools, recipes, and we’ll be sharing meals and support (including live meal prep tutorials) throughout the duration of this challenge. I challenge you daily to up your water intake to at least 100 ounces. When we are hydrated, we focus better, we perform better, we snack less, we are less susceptible to injury, we have more energy, and we look and feel better. Hydration is key.

What’s next?

This isn’t just a 30 days and done. It’s a 30 day jumpstart into a healthier lifestyle. A 30 day reset if you’re ready for it. And the ability to take your actions and create daily habits that result in a healthier lifestyle – for mind, body, and soul.
