Hammer and Chisel: 60 Day Results
Results are in, y’all! And I am super proud! If you haven’t been following my journey, you may not know that I started Hammer & Chisel around Christmas time. It’s an 8 week program and focuses a lot on strength, muscle building and shaping, and leaning out with some high intensity workouts.
I started this program with hopes to sculpt my muscles and lean out a little and I’m really happy with the results. The nutrition plan is simplified. The program comes with color-coded portion control containers (yes, the same one’s from 21 Day Fix and you DO get a new set with this program) which make it easy to decode the complexities of “eating healthy”. Green = veggies, purple = fruits, yellow = carbs, red = protein, blue = healthy fats, orange = oils/dressings/seeds. If it fits in the containers, you can eat it. No counting calories, which I love.
The workouts are all different and intense. This program is not for someone who is looking for a light workout. These workouts will get you sweating, muscles burning, legs feeling like jello, and sweat burning off that fat and muscles soon appearing! The Hammer aspect, featuring Sagi Kalev who is behind Body Beast, brings the hammer for sure! Heavy lifting, squats, cleans, jerks, presses, muscle building. I’m a huge fan of Body Beast (have you seen our results from that program? Click here.) and I love the weight lifting. Autumn Calabrese, creator of 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme brings the chisel. Sculpting, a faster paced workout involving weights as well, designed to shred your fat while maintaining muscle gain. And look at that booty! I’m pretty proud that my butt has grown just in two months! No mom butt here, y’all!
The results speak for themselves. I actually gained a pound and still lost an inch in my waist. My legs are more muscular and my butt is more rounded. I didn’t deprive myself on this program. I ate approximately 2,200-2,500 calories each day. Yep, you heard that right! In order to BUILD you have to EAT! I ate pizza, I drank wine, we took a vacation during my 60 days of this program and I ate pie! And I still got great, sculpted results. Yes, I could’ve been more strict. But I’m happy. I don’t believe in deprivation, never have. I do believe in moderation. If you’re on a diet you’re doing it wrong!
