If you’re looking for some alternatives to loading your little ones’ Easter baskets with candy, you’ve come to the right place.

Our oldest child got her braces put on last week.  She said the worst part is that she’s not going to be able to eat all of the Easter candy.  Insert Mom eyeroll here…  I have come to realize that we are pretty guilty of making the holidays about sweets and treats.  So I opted this year to go the “no candy” route.  Yes, I’m going to miss my Cadbury Mini Eggs.  I’m a little sad that a bowl of Starburst Jellybeans won’t be gracing my countertop for 24 hours before I’ve consumed them all and told the kids the dog ate them.  Not having the Reese’s peanut butter eggs is going to be quite the tragedy, according to my husband. And I personally won’t be missing the Cadbury Creme Eggs as much, or at least that’s what I’m telling myself.

We’ve opted for some alternatives to keep the kids busy for the remainder of Spring Break.  We’ve added in some things they’ve been asking for on recent trips to Target.  And a few activities for when Spring finally decides to show up!  I hope you find this list helpful!  Have a happy and blessed Easter weekend!
